Seven yachts competed at the Spring Regatta, based
at Rockland. Marigold, being on Provisional, would not be eligible, but is
included for the sake of completeness. Anna, Flight, Marigold and Morning Calm did not race at Cantley in
July, putting them out of the running for the Diamond Jubilee Trophy. This left just
three contenders in the
competition, with all of them competing at the final regatta in the series, the Autumn Open at Cantley.
Each yacht had to count six results, with at least one result from each
regatta - these are shown in red below for the qualifiers. Results in blue
were also counted, with numbers in black being discards.
The Autumn results for Flight, Anna and Morning Calm are
included to indicate how they might have done, had they been free to race at the
July Cantley Regatta.
Well done to everyone who qualified, and congratulations
to Melinda on their win, with only 10 points from the six counting races..
