This year’s cruise turned out to be barely worthy of the name, with those who initially planned to attend on Friday evening not being able to make it for various reasons and only Vixen and Retribution attaining the planned overnight stop at Loddon on the Saturday. However, the weather was glorious with light breezes and sunshine; with the blue skies making it look like summer, even if several layers of clothing were needed.

An excellent early evening pint in the Angel was followed by even better beer at the Swan and then a fine meal, accompanied by superb wines from the pub “bin ends” list. Rounding off with cheese and biscuits, those there agreed that it had been a very enjoyable evening.
