72 members and guests attended this year’s Annual Dinner and Prize-giving. A most enjoyable meal was followed as usual by the Commodore’s speech and the presentation of club trophies for last year’s racing. The Hiawatha Prize for the “slow boat” division of the championship went to Kingfisher and the Wherry Trophy for overall championship to Dryad. The Luna Barometer was presented to Kelvin Halifax’s Anne.

The usual raffle was reduced this year to four prizes in order to cut down on the extended draw, with the hamper being won by Jean “Madam Vice” Vaughan. In addition the club also ran a tombola, which brought a few hardened gamblers out of the woodwork!
