  David Snutch, 1938-2017

David sadly passed away in hospital, on Tuesday 5 December, 2017.

A long standing member and past Commodore of the Yare Sailing Club, David will be best remembered on the Broads for his ownership of Cuckoo, which he raced successfully, winning the YNR and the Cock of the Broads, among many other things. Also a member of the Green Wyvern Yachting Club, he previously co-owned Sparklet, with which he had also won the YNR and Venture, on which he sailed extensively around the North Sea. His final river cruiser was Cricket (now Melbourne Lady), after which he enjoyed travelling extensively around Britain and Europe in the company of friends.

The funeral was held at Earlham Cremmatorium, Norwich on Monday 18 December and attended by many of his friends. Amelia, his daughter, Henry Irving, co-owner of Venture with him and long standing friends Bill and Lesley Noblett all gave moving tributes to David. An adjournment afterwards to the Unthank Arms offered many more opportunities to remember David and reminisce.
